Shrimp

It is always better to use fresh, unshelled shrimp, like the ones I used to make pappardelle with. But if you find frozen shrimp at home, they are fine.

Penne with pesto and shrimp is a delicious and easy-to-make pasta dish that combines the rich flavor of basil pesto with tender shrimp. Here's a recipe you can follow:

Ingredients
  • 1 pound peppe pasta
  • ~ 1 pounds shrimp
  • 1 garlic
  • 5 tablespoons genovese pesto sauce
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
    • Shell and wash the shrimp.
    • Brown them in hot oil in a pan with a whole garlic clove.
    • Deglaze with half a glass of white wine.
    • Cook for another minute and a half, season with salt and pepper. Remove the garlic clove
    • Boil the pasta in salted water in a saucepan, drain it al dente, and then add it to the shrimp sauce in a pan.
    • Mix everything and remove it from the heat. Add the pesto and put it in a bowl with a little cooking water.
    • Stir the pasta and season well.  And enjoy your meal.
