When the body does this it sacrifices a lot more of its energy just for that, ergo people craving for protein packed foods. Now that heating is a thing we don’t burn as much energy as we used too but because of holidays or traditions we still eat those hefty meats.
Now back to the point of this salad, if you are not looking to engulf an entire turkey or chicken please consider this protein-packed, light salad. It doesn’t look like much but it fills you up with a lot of nutrients, and unlike the turkey, it doesn’t make you sweat grease or feel like you want to throw up. Not saying that meat is bad for you, it helps your body a lot but, like with every food, having too much of it is bad for you, especially with meat because it can cause a little thing called heart disease, the #1 killer in America, isn’t that fun. Winter Salad Recipe with Pomegranate, Orange, and Almonds
Ingredients
- 2 cups lettuce and radicchio
- ¼ cup pomegranate
- 2 tbsp raw sliced almonds
- 2 orange
Orange Vinaigrette
- ½ cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- salt
- pepper
