  • 4 golden apples
  • 150 g 00 flour 1 1/5 cups
  • 60 g brown sugar 1/3 cup
  • 2 egg
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 lemon juice


  • Peel the apples, remove the core with the appropriate tool, and cut them into rounds of about 1cm thick (1/4 inch).
  • Brush them with lemon juice to prevent them from becoming dark.
  • Sift the flour together with the baking powder, salt, and add the milk.
  • Add the sugar and eggs.
  • Work everything with the electric whisk until the mixture is homogeneous. Leave to rest for about 30 min.
  • Dip apple slices in the prepared batter and fry in plenty of hot oil.
  • When they are golden brown, let them cool on paper towels and, once cold, cover them with icing sugar.
